Corona Virus Community Support
Communication is the key: Check for updates from the Council on Facebook and www.fairfordtowncouncil.gov.uk
The Town Council is taking the lead in coordinating community support for residents at this time. We are dividing Fairford into zones and appointing a Volunteer Coordinator to each zone who can be the main point of contact between the volunteers and the Council to ensure that help and advice reaches those who need it. We will use Facebook, noticeboards and our website to keep you updated with local news At the time of writing the Council office will remain open to the public.
If you are going to self-isolate and think you might need help with shopping, collecting medication or anything else, you can contact the Town Council and we will try to help. You can call us on 01285 712344 or email us with the subject “we need help” on clerks@fairfordtowncouncil.gov.uk.
If you are willing to volunteer to help those who may need assistance, please get in touch. Email clerks@fairfordtowncouncil.gov.uk with the subject “Volunteer”, please include your contact details and what you’re able to do. Ring 01285 712344 instead if you are unable to email.

RE-OPENING OF THE PLAY AND EXERCISE EQUIPMENT IN THE WALNUT TREE FIELD.
The playground and exercise equipment in the Walnut Tree Field are now open for general use.
The play and exercise equipment & youth shelter have all be cleaned over the weekend. A regular programme of sanitation will be carried out going forward – however this is not a substitute for using hand sanitiser, regularly washing your hands and adhering to social distancing whilst using the equipment. Advisory notices have been placed on all the equipment. Unfortunately, the portaloo has had to be locked as repairs are required, as a result of vandalism. We are working to remedy this situation.
Please use the playground responsibly. If local Covid-19 conditions change, and the Council is required to do so, the playground may have to be closed again.
